Only download ChillHub APKs from our official GitHub repository. We do not distribute ChillHub through any other third-party APK sites.
Installation Methods
The easiest way to sideload — just enter a code on your Fire TV or Android TV.
- Install Downloader from the Amazon Appstore or Google Play Store
- Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options
- Enable "Install unknown apps" for the Downloader app
- Open Downloader and enter the code:
3908449- The APK will download automatically — tap Install when prompted
Alternatively: You can also type the full URL into Downloader's URL field:
https://github.com/AppleChillVibez/ChillHubCopy the APK to a USB flash drive and install directly.
- Download the .apk file from GitHub Releases onto your computer
- Copy the .apk file to a USB flash drive (FAT32 format recommended)
- Plug the USB drive into your Android TV device
- On your TV, open a file manager app (like FX File Explorer or File Commander — available free on the Play Store)
- Navigate to the USB drive and tap the .apk file
- If prompted, enable "Install unknown apps" for the file manager
- Tap Install and wait for it to complete
Use a wireless file transfer app — no computer or USB drive needed.
- Install Send Files to TV on both your phone and your TV (available on the Play Store)
- Download the ChillHub .apk file on your phone from GitHub Releases
- Open Send Files to TV on both devices (make sure they're on the same Wi-Fi)
- On your phone, tap Send and select the .apk file
- On your TV, tap Receive
- Once transferred, open the file on your TV and tap Install
Use ADB to install the APK directly from your computer over Wi-Fi or USB.
Prerequisites
- ADB installed on your computer (see Default Launcher Guide for install instructions)
- Developer Options and USB Debugging enabled on your TV
- Both devices on the same Wi-Fi network (for wireless install)
1. Connect to your device
adb connect DEVICE_IP:55552. Install the APK
adb install /path/to/chillhub.apkReplace /path/to/chillhub.apk with the actual path to the downloaded file.
3. Verify installation
adb shell pm list packages | grep chillhubUpdating: To update ChillHub via ADB, just run the same install command with the new APK. ADB will update the existing installation automatically.
"Install blocked" or "Unknown sources" error
Go to Settings → Security & Restrictions → Unknown Sources and enable it for the app you're using to install (file manager, Downloader, etc.).
"App not installed" error
This usually means the APK was corrupted during download. Re-download the .apk file and try again. Make sure you're downloading the correct architecture (most TVs use arm64).
Can't find ChillHub after installing
Sideloaded apps may not appear in the default launcher's app list. Check under Settings → Apps → See all apps. From there you can open ChillHub and optionally set it as your default launcher.
USB drive not detected
Make sure the drive is formatted as FAT32 (not NTFS or exFAT). Some devices only support FAT32 for USB storage.
ChillHub has built-in update checking — you don't need to repeat the sideloading process for every update.
How automatic updates work
- Each time ChillHub launches, it checks for a newer version on GitHub
- If an update is available, you'll see a notification in Settings
- Tap Update to download and install — or choose Skip to ignore that version
One-time permission
For self-updates to work, ChillHub needs permission to install apps. If prompted, go to Settings → Apps → ChillHub → Install unknown apps and enable it. You only need to do this once.
Manual update fallback
If the in-app update doesn't work, you can always download the latest APK from GitHub Releases and sideload it again using any of the methods above. Installing a new APK over the existing one will update ChillHub without losing your settings.
After Installing
Once ChillHub is installed, you can set it as your default home screen launcher. Some devices let you do this through Settings, while others require ADB. Check our Default Launcher Guide for step-by-step instructions.
